Itinerary
Monday |
Depart from your home area this morning and travel north to Scotland, arriving in Killin late afternoon at the Killin Hotel for dinner and a 4-night stay. |
Tuesday |
Today we visit Inveraray Castle, ancestral home of the Dukes of Argyll. The magnificent rooms are filled with fine furniture, art, and armour, while the gardens stretch along the shores of Loch Fyne. |
Wednesday |
A morning visit takes us to the fascinating Scottish Crannog Centre on Loch Tay, where we discover how Scotland's early loch-dwelling communities lived. In the afternoon we continue to the Glenturret Distillery near Crieff, the oldest working distillery in Scotland. A guided tour reveals the traditions of whisky-making, and we enjoy a dram to finish. |
Thursday |
We travel to Fort William where we board a boat for a relaxing two-hour cruise on Loch Linnhe. Surrounded by dramatic mountain scenery, the loch is rich in wildlife and offers superb views of Ben Nevis. |
Friday |
