A popular, well appointed, family owned and run hotel, in the centre of the Esplanade, overlooking the sea and adjacent to the town centre. Itinerary
Day 1 |
A leisurely journey to Sidmouth with a convenient lunch stop en-route. |
Day 2 |
This morning we visit Bicton Park Botanical Gardens. Spanning nearly 300 years of horticultural history, this magnificent grade I listed garden is set in the picturesque Otter Valley. The superbly landscaped park combines 18th century tranquillity with modern amenities to provide all year-round enjoyment including historic glasshouses, a countryside museum and the Bicton Woodland Railway train ride. |
Day 3 |
A free day to relax and enjoy this charming and elegant resort. |
Day 4 |
We make our way to inspirational Buckfast Abbey, located on the edge of the Dartmoor National Park. We continue to Buckfastleigh where we enjoy a return train journey on the South Devon Railway** |
Day 5 |
This morning we travel to Slade House Farm and visit the Donkey Sanctuary - home to 200 donkeys who live in small groups which can be seen on many of the walks around the sanctuary. We return in the afternoon to Sidmouth for free time. |
Day 6 |
We travel home with a convenient lunch stop en-route. |
