A journey of discovery visiting Scotlands Western Isles - a chain of remarkable islands that stretch out like a breakwater at the rim of the wide Atlantic. Marvel at a striking mix of landscapes from golden sands to mountains and moonscapes that form the wonderful Outer Hebrides. On our tour we also spend time in Aberfoyle, Gateway to the Trossachs and the picturesque village of Ullapool nesting on the shores of Loch Broom. On our return we also visit delightful Fort William and the Scottish Borders.

All hotels are varied in style and standards. Travellers should consider the fact that they will often be in beautiful, yet isolated locations where hotel availability is extremely limited. All have restaurant, bar & lounge. The Rob Roy & Caberfeidh offer lift access to all floors. No Lift at the Caledonian, Ullapool, the Dunollie or the Dryfesdale, Lockerbie.
Mobility Grade 2: This is a touring holiday and although most of the sightseeing is from the comfort of our coach, there are ferries to board and five different hotels, along with steps and stairs to negotiate. Please note that due to the nature of this holiday, customers with mobility difficulties may be limited in their enjoyment.

Itinerary
Friday |
Travel to Scotland with an overnight stop at the 3-star Rob Roy Hotel in Aberfoyle. |
Saturday |
Our journey continues north as we skirt the Cairngorm National Park, travelling over the remote Drumochter Pass pausing at the leafy old Victorian spa town of Strathpeffer before heading west to Ullapool and our overnight stay at the Caledonian Hotel. |
Sunday |
We take the morning ferry to Stornoway on the Isle of Lewis, then continue to the Caberfeidh Hotel for our 2-night stay. |
Monday |
Using the services of a local coach and tour guide we explore the Islands of Lewis home to the Callanish Stones, one of the finest prehistoric sites in Scotland, the historic Broch at Carolway and the Gearrannan Blackhouses Village with their traditional thatched croft houses. |
Tuesday |
The Isle of Harris beckons today with its ever-changing kaleidoscope of scenic colour. We visit Tarbert, home to Harris Tweed and the Isle of Harris Distillery before we board the afternoon sailing to Uig on the Isle of Skye and continue to Broadford for our 2-night stay at the Dunollie Hotel. |
Wednesday |
Discover Skye as we visit Dunvegan Castle, probably the oldest inhabited castle in the north of Scotland. It has been occupied continuously by the Chiefs of the Clan MacLeod for more than 750 years and is located on a wonderful setting on the shores of Loch Dunvegan. |
Thursday |
Departing our hotel we pause at the Eilean Donan Visitors Centre for wonderful photographic opportunities of one of Scotland's most iconic historic castles. Then, travelling via Fort William before continuing south for our final night at the 4-star Dryfesdale Hotel near Lockerbie. |
