Itinerary
Day 1 |
We depart during the morning and with a suitable stop for lunch en-route we arrive at our hotel, on the outskirts of Newquay, in time for dinner and our 5-night stay. |
Day 2 |
2 This morning we visit Padstow, a charming picture-postcard working fishing port. Free time in Newquay during the afternoon. |
Day 3 |
A scenic drive west to Penzance travelling via Marazion with views of St Michael's Mount. |
Day 4 |
We visit the historic village of Charlestown, a popular filming location with credits including the BBC's hugely successful Poldark TV series. Next, we visit the fishing village of Mevagissey with its eclectic mix of shops, craft workshops, art galleries, cafés, pubs and restaurants. |
Day 5 |
This morning, we visit the bustling city of Truro with its flowing rivers, picturesque streets with 18th and 19th century townhouses and a magnificent cathedral that dominates the city. In the afternoon we make our way to the Lost Gardens of Heligan. Lost since the outbreak of WW1, this mysterious garden was re-discovered in 1991 and beautifully restored to its former glory. A horticultural paradise for the plant lover and garden romantic. |

We travel home with a convenient lunch stop en-route. |
