Itinerary
Day 1 |
We travel to Sidmouth with time to relax ahead of dinner. |
Day 2 |
We drive to Exmouth for a favourite Johnsons excursion, also incorporating a leisurely river cruise on the Exe, sailing through calming waters. |
Day 3 |
We include a half-day excursion on day to the excellent Seaton Tramway, a lovely scenic ride along the River Axe, through wetlands with an abundance of wildlife to the village of Colyford. We return to Seaton and by coach to Sidmouth for a little free time ahead of our dinner together. |
Day 4 |
We head across Devon to Saunton Sands, but not before calling in at the historic Pannier Market in Barnstaple, specialising in antiques and collectibles. We settle into our second hotel, the spectacularly located Saunton Sands Hotel. |
Day 5 |
We visit Rosemoor RHS today, which has something for all garden lovers and visiting in October also potentially adds a little autumnal colour to the proceedings. |
Day 6-7 |
After a free day on day 6, we visit the picturesque resort of Lynmouth, where we have time to explore the narrow streets and maybe take the cliff railway to Lynton. |
Day 8 |
After breakfast we depart our hotel, returning home in the afternoon. |
