Itinerary
Day 1 |
We travel south, making a suitable stop for lunch en-route, arriving at our hotel during the early afternoon. |
Day 2 |
Today you visit the nearby Exbury Gardens and Steam Railway, which was created by the famous Rothschild family and is home to an abundance of exotic plants that thrive in the unique micro-climate. You will meet with a staff member who will provide you with a guided tour of the gardens. You then enjoy a journey on the steam train around the gardens as you see the beauty from a different angle. |
Day 3 |
This morning your driver will take you for a scenic drive through the New Forest, through Lyndhurst and watching the ponies roam free. You then continue on to Salisbury. Often referred to as the city in the countryside, Salisbury offers a host of attractions including a stunning cathedral and a thriving market. |
Day 4 |
You step back in time to the 18th century today as you visit Buckler's Hard. This shipbuilding village is steeped in history. Included today is entry into the village, museum and a peaceful cruise on the beautiful Beaulieu River, one of the few privately owned tidal rivers in the UK, where you'll learn of the history and wildlife found in the picturesque banks. From here, you continue to historic Christchurch, where time is yours to browse the bustling town centre and enjoy the mix of waterside and olde worlde charm. |
Day 5 |
