As Road Safety Week approaches, Johnsons Coaches is reaffirming its commitment to keeping roads safe and providing a smooth, secure journey for all passengers.

At Johnsons, safety is at the heart of everything we do. Our drivers benefit from cutting-edge technology, including Samsara, which provides real-time data to support safe driving practices. In addition, our Training team holds advanced qualifications through IAM RoadSmart and ROSPA, as well as Instructor and Assessor certifications, ensuring we deliver the highest standard of on-road training for all drivers.

Johnsons is proud to be a member of ROSPA and ROSCO. ROSPA, a UK charity dedicated to preventing accidents at home, on the road, at work, and during leisure, shares our mission to save lives and reduce injuries. ROSCO promotes road safety within the bus and coach industry, recognizing drivers who demonstrate safe and responsible driving. All Johnsons drivers who remain incident-free are awarded a ROSCO certificate.

Peter Lloyd, Training Manager at Johnsons Coaches, is a DVSA Mod 3A and Mod 4 examiner, CPC Trainer, and National Observer for IAM RoadSmart. Alongside Paul Stevens, our Company Driving Instructor and Advanced Driver qualified trainer, they lead the charge in ensuring every Johnsons driver receives the highest level of safety training.

Johnsons also actively supports initiatives like school crossing safety and campaigns against drink driving, helping to protect both passengers and the wider community.

“We are committed to continuous improvement in road safety,” said Peter Lloyd. “From advanced training to using the latest technology, we make sure our drivers are equipped to operate safely, responsibly, and efficiently.”
