We depart and make our way to Liverpool arriving at the Pullman Hotel for our 3 nights stay. |
Monday |
We visit Knowsley Hall, a Grade II listed stately home often described as a hidden gem of the North West. Owned by the Earls of Derby for over 600 years, we include include a Curator tour of the hall's extraordinary collection, including a light lunch. In the evening we celebrate a love of music at the iconic Cavern Club, where The Beatles perfected their craft, performing an impressive 292 shows between 1961 and 1963. Savour a delicious buffet before enjoying live music in the intimate brick-vaulted cellars adorned with 1960s memorabilia, where tribute acts bring the spirit of the era back to life. |
Tuesday |
We discover the spiritual home of the Titanic, the largest passenger ship of her time, with a walking tour of Liverpool, followed by afternoon tea and the ship's house brand Champagne. Visit the Grade II listed home of White Star Line founder, Thomas Ismay and his son, J Bruce Ismay, who was heavily criticised for escaping on one of the last lifeboats. Reflect at Britain's largest cathedral, before tasting Titanic era elegance - a sumptuous afternoon tea based on surviving menus, complete with the type of Champagne served on-board, all enjoyed in the opulent Royal Insurance Building. |
