Itinerary
Day 1 |
We travel north to Heysham to catch our ferry to Douglas. |
Day 2 |
A free day to relax, settle in and explore Douglas. |
Day 3 |
Today, we travel to Laxey Station, where we board a train on the Snaefell Mountain Railway to the top of the island's highest mountain for spectacular views of the island (weather permitting!). We take the train back to Laxey and pay a visit to the Laxey Wheel. |
Day 4 |
We travel to the Milntown Estate dating back to the early 16th century. The Estate was once home to the Christian family, of which most of the famous is the HMS Bounty's Fletcher Christian. Milntown is also home to a fine vintage car collection as well as beautifully maintained gardens that are perfect for exploring in all seasons. Continue to the island's second largest town Ramsey in the North, where you can venture around its extensive harbour. |
Day 5 |
We discover the south coast today, beginning with a trip aboard the Isle of Man Steam Railway. We board the train in Douglas and travel through the countryside to the resort of Port Erin. We then continue by coach to The National Folk Museum at Cregneash. |
Day 6 |
We board our ferry to Heysham and continue south homewards to the Midlands. |
