    Springtime in the Lakes

    Itinerary

    Sunday

    We depart from Henley and
journey north to Kendal ‘Gateway to
the Lakes’ for lunch then onto your
hotel in Keswick, time to relax before
    dinner.

    Monday

    This morning, we visit
    Grasmere, famous for its gingerbread
and of course it was once the home of
    the famous poet William Wordsworth.
Here we will visit the Wordsworth
Museum & Dove Cottage. We continue
to Bowness where we enjoy a scenic
    sightseeing cruise on Lake
    Windermere.

    Tuesday

    A morning excursion to
    Cockermouth, birthplace of William
Wordsworth. We return to Keswick for
    free time in the afternoon.

    Wednesday

    This morning, we
    experience the comfortable services of
Mountain Goat. A fleet of mini coaches
takes us first to Coniston Water where
we visit the Ruskin Museum where we will be able to view Donald Campbell’s
‘Bluebird’. From here we enjoy a cruise
on Coniston Water. We continue to
    Hilltop (NT). This 17th century
    farmhouse was where Beatrix Potter
wrote many of her children’s stories.
