3* The Northfield Hotel, Minehead
The Northfield Hotel is located on the lower slopes of North Hill. All rooms are well appointed, with en-suite bath or shower, digital TV, tea facilities and complementary Wi-Fi. Facilities include a heated indoor swimming pool and outside there are lovely terraces where you can enjoy a drink as well as plenty of indoor areas to relax and enjoy your surroundings.�The restaurant is spread over three areas with a relaxed atmosphere.

3* The Headland Hotel, Torquay
Majestically overlooking Meadfoot Beach and the sea, the Headland is around 15 minutes walk to the beach and centre. Originally built for the Russian royal family, the hotel offers dining at leisure and 2 nights entertainment. Rooms are en-suite and have tv, hairdryer and tea/coffee making facilities. Bars, restaurant, lounge and gardens.

Departing Henley-in-Arden we journey south west. |
Saturday |
After breakfast, we take a relaxing heritage train ride from Minehead to the village of Bishops Lydeard on the scenic |
Sunday |
Two rail attractions in one today. The Lynton & Barnstaple Railway is only a two-mile round trip through rolling hills, but our visit supports a project promising more to come. We continue to the charming twin resorts of Lynton and Lynmouth, spectacularly situated on the northern edge of the Exmoor National Park and linked by a cliff railway. |
Monday |
This morning we drive to Tiverton, where we enjoy a 1 ½ cruise on the Great Western Canal on-board one of the last remaining horse-drawn barges in Great Britain. We continue to our hotel in Torquay for 4 nights. |

At leisure in Torquay |
Wednesday |
We spend time in Newton Abbot on market day, before enjoying a ride on the South Devon Railway between Buckfastleigh and Totnes. |
Thursday |
The Dartmouth Steam Railway has the best of both worlds, with stunning views of the seaside on one side, then the serene Dart Estuary on the other. We complete our rail and sail day with a one-hour cruise on the beautiful River Dart. |
