Itinerary
Day 1 |
A morning departure for our sailing to the Isle of Wight. |
Day 2 |
We visit Whippingham Church, with its connections to Queen Victoria followed by Osborne House (EH), her seaside residence. Marvel at the sumptuous décor of the Royal Apartments and take an intimate glimpse into the private life of the Victorian royal family. |
Day 3 |
Enjoy a full day scenic island tour. We start by visiting the coastal resort of Yarmouth before passing beautiful Freshwater Bay, following the old coastal 'Military Road' towards the south of the island returning via Ventnor and Shanklin. |
Day 4 |
We visit Godshill & the Model Village - We drive to the picture-postcard setting of Godshill, where we include entrance to the marvellous Model Village - a 1/10 scale model of Godshill and Shanklin Old Town that nestles in the grounds of the Old Vicarage. Set in nearly two acres of gorgeous, landscaped gardens this is truly a quintessentially English visitor attraction. |
Day 5 |
day at leisure in our resort. |
Day 6 |
We visit Mottistone Manor, Yarmouth & The Needles - We travel along the scenic 'military' coastal road of West Wight pausing at Isle of Wight Pearl before visiting Mottistone Manor Garden (NT), a magical five-acre Elizabethan Manor Garden. In the afternoon we take the coastal road to reach The Needles, followed by a visit to Yarmouth, a small village with a beautiful harbour and gorgeous little boutique shop. |
Day 7 |
After breakfast we join our ferry crossing back to the mainland and then we are homeward bound. |
