A luxurious former Victorian summer residence, the hotel retains much of its tranquillity and charm. It stands at the end of Sidmouth's striking esplanade and is just a short stroll from the town centre. Elegant Restaurant, Bar/Lounge, Delightful gardens and use of superb leisure facilities at the Victoria Hotel next door. Mobility Grade: 3. Locality - fairly level. Itinerary
Day 1 |
We travel south, making a suitable lunch stop en-route, arriving at our hotel mid-afternoon. Relax, settle in and enjoy a drinks reception before our first delicious evening meal. |
Day 2 |
A free day to explore and enjoy the many attractions that Sidmouth has to offer. Make the most of your hotels luxurious surroundings and enjoy a sumptuous Devon cream tea! |
Day 3 |
Drive through the beautiful scenery and picturesque villages of Dartmoor National Park with a lunch stop in the thriving market town of Tavistock situated in the heart of an area of tremendous natural beauty after lunch we continue our scenic drive to Buckfastleigh where we will visit Buckfast Abbey, located in the centre of this picturesque village on the edge of Dartmoor, home to a community of Benedictine Monks, at the heart of Buckfast is the Abbey and Monastery, the site also includes beautiful, spacious gardens, restaurant and numerous shops. |
Day 4 |
We drive to Exmouth where we include a leisurely river cruise. The Exe is a feeding ground for seals so keep a watchful eye open as we sail through the calm sheltered waters of the Exe. With live commentary this cruise will give you a full insight into the history and scenic splendour of the area including the resident and visiting wildlife |
Day 5 |
After breakfast we depart our hotel and after making a suitable stop for lunch en-route we arrive home in the afternoon. |
