Itinerary
Day 1 |
To Holyhead for our crossing to Dublin, then on to the Talbot Hotel, Stillorgan (4-Star) for our 2-night stay. |
Day 2 |
After breakfast we travel into central Dublin where we meet our city guide for a morning tour of Ireland's great capital. The afternoon is free for individual sightseeing. |
Day 3 |
Departing our hotel we visit the Irish National Stud at Kildare, home to some of Ireland's most revered thoroughbreds and the adjacent Japanese Gardens. Later we continue via Adare, Ireland's 'prettiest village', with its delightful, thatched cottages before arriving in Killarney for our 4-night stay. |
Day 4 |
Discover the secrets of the Ring of Kerry, as our guided tour takes us via Killorglin; famed for its annual Puck Fair, to Glenbeigh, with its Bog Village. We continue around the Iveragh Peninsula, ascending Peakeen Mountain, around Moll's Gap and Ladies View before finally descending back into Killarney, along the glittering shores of Lough Leane. |
Day 5 |
A day at leisure. Why not enjoy a scenic lake cruise or a jaunting cart ride? Or you may wish to visit Muckross House. The day is all yours! |
Day 6 |
Join us for a guided tour of the stunning Dingle Peninsula. Travelling through 'Ryan's Daughter Country', we will see the wild and beautiful natural scenery as we make our way to the fishing village of Dingle. |
Day 7 |
Departing Killarney, we travel to Cobh, where we visit the Queenstown Story. Here, we can retrace the steps of the 2 ½ million Irish people who emigrated from Ireland via Cobh on coffin ships, early steamers and finally on the great ocean liners. In fact, Cobh was the last port of call for the ill-fated Titanic. Later, we drive to Waterford for our overnight accommodation at the 3-star Dooley's Hotel. |
Day 8 |
Breakfast today is included on board our return Irish Ferries sailing back to Pembroke where upon arrival we continue homeward. |
