Itinerary
Sunday |
Travelling to East Anglia, we make a stop for lunch in Ely before arriving at our hotel during the afternoon. |
Monday |
A free day to explore and discover the delights of Great Yarmouth. |
Tuesday |
We begin the day with a visit to Wroxham and the charming Norfolk Broads where we enjoy a cruise around the picturesque Broads. In the afternoon we head to Norwich, where a visit to the Cathedral is a must, also cobbled Elm Hill and the Castle Mall shopping complex. |
Wednesday |
We visit the timeless and delightful resort of Southwold, little changed since Victorian times. In the afternoon, we head inland to Diss for a visit to Bressingham Gardens and Steam Museum - the gardens are renowned the world over for their excellence. |
Thursday |
Our first visit today is to Blickling Estate, one of England's great Jacobean Houses. It is famed for its spectacular Long Gallery and collections of furniture, pictures, books and tapestries. The gardens are full of colour throughout the year and the extensive parkland has a lake with beautiful woodland and lakeside walks. We have a chance to explore and maybe enjoy a drink and bite to eat before we visit our coastal resort Cromer for a leisurely afternoon by the sea. |
Friday |
Departing after breakfast we return homeward, arriving in the mid-afternoon. |
