Itinerary
Day 1 |
En route to our hotel, we visit Audley End House (EH), one of England's grandest stately homes. With Victorian fixtures and fittings, it offers an atmospheric glimpse into daily life of the era. |
Day 2 |
We visit Aldeburgh, a pretty coastal town with an unspoilt beach and fishermen's huts. Later, enjoy a relaxing cruise along the scenic River Deben. |
Day 3 |
With our Blue Badge guide, we explore Constable Country, including East Bergholt and Dedham, visiting sites linked to John Constable and historic churches. We return to our hotel for a Cream Tea. |
Day 4 |
Morning visit to Beth Chatto Gardens, a Grade II listed collection. In the afternoon, we explore Clacton-on-Sea with its pier, arcades, and seafront walks |
Day 5 |
Homeward bound, pausing at Lavenham, one of England's finest medieval villages. |
