    Itinerary

    Day 1

A comfortable journey south, pausing for lunch en-route. Settle in and enjoy a drinks reception dinner.

    Day 2

Today, we visit the Lost Gardens of Heligan. After an introductory talk we are free to discover this secret kingdom including its sub-tropical jungle, vegetable, flower & fruit gardens and the 'Lost Valley.' Later, we continue to the picture postcard fishing village of Mevagissey where pubs, cafes, galleries and shops cluster around the harbour walls and line the pretty streets.

    Day 3

Today we visit the old harbour town of Padstow on the Camel Estuary, a fine example of a Cornish fishing port with a colourful busy harbour surrounded by medieval houses. The town is largely unspoilt with traditional pubs and restaurants including the famous seafood restaurant owned by top TV chef Rick Stein. Explore the quaint narrow streets and interesting shops,' maybe take a walk to the headland for some fabulous views of the estuary and distant hills.

    Day 4

A short trip along the coast to Charlestown, known popularly as a filming location in the TV series Poldark. The village has remained largely unchanged since the late 18th century. Visit the Shipwreck & Heritage Centre and stroll around the harbour, which is home to some of the largest Tall Ships in the world. In the afternoon, we return to our hotel for a sumptuous Cornish cream tea!

    Day 5

After breakfast we depart our hotel, returning home during the afternoon.
